More affordable Snapdragon X chip coming to Windows devices

During Investor Day, Qualcomm teased an upcoming Snapdragon X chipset aimed at affordable Windows-powered devices priced around $600. The name isn't final, but we suspect it will just be Snapdragon X. Right now, the company is offering the Snapdragon X Elite with 12-core CPU configurations and the Snapdragon X Plus with 8- or 10-core CPUs. Thus, the vanilla Snapdragon X will likely adopt a 6-core CPU, although Qualcomm has yet to confirm this. The company teased that its powerful NPU chip, used in the rest of the Snapdragon X SoCs, will also be employed in the cheaper Snapdragon X....
