Google CEO hopes Gemini will be built-in on iOS 19

Image
Back in February, some code in the iOS 18.4 beta revealed that Apple was preparing to add Google's Gemini to Apple Intelligence, following its initial partnership with OpenAI for ChatGPT. And now Google CEO Sundar Pichai has said in court proceedings that he is hopeful that Gemini will be added as a built-in AI option in iOS this year. He added that he's been in talks about the feature with Apple CEO Tim Cook throughout 2024. Pichai hopes that a deal on the matter between the two companies will be done by the middle of this year. That is incidentally when Apple is expected to unveil... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/iElJaV1

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge's main and ultrawide cameras revealed

Image
Yesterday the selfie camera of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge got revealed to be using the S5K3LU sensor with 1/3.2" type size. Today the same source is back with confirmations of the main camera as well as the ultrawide, and thus the phone's full camera package has now been outed (since it doesn't have a telephoto). The main camera is unsurprisingly (since it was rumored a lot) the same 200 MP unit used on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with a 1/1.3" type sensor. The ultrawide is 12 MP and uses a 1/2.55" type sensor, which means it will be identical to the ultrawide found in the Galaxy S25 and... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/Hn59jYA

Motorola Edge 60 in for review

Image
Motorola's Edge 60 series is here, so it's time to unbox the Edge 60. But before we get to the sceneted box, a word on what's different between this green Pantone Shamrock Edge 60 and its blue Pro counterpart. The Edge 60 has the same display and camera system as the Pro, as well as the same IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance and MIL STD-810H compliance. However, the Edge 60 has a smaller 5,200mAh battery with slower charging (68W vs 90W, no wireless), a less-powerful chip (2.5GHz Dimensity 7300 vs 3.35GHz Dimensity 8350 Extreme), and one less button - the AI key on the Pro's upper left... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/yjkCJTz

Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro to feature a 200 MP main camera

Image
The Honor 400 Lite made its debut earlier this month, and it should soon be joined by the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro - in May, in fact, according to a new leak from China. This also gives us some more details about the two phones. The Honor 400 is once again said to sport a 6.55" screen, smaller than its predecessor's 6.7" panel - this move was rumored before. The Honor 400's display will have "1.5K" resolution and won't be LTPO, but LTPS OLED, so the variable refresh rate won't be as flexible. Honor 400 Lite The Honor 400 Pro on the other hand will have a 6.7-inch screen with the... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/E7AGiQg

That's a 12% increase compared to Q1 2024, and brings the total paying subscribers to 268 million. The streaming service has also reported a record quarterly operating income of €509 million (about $528 million). Revenue was €4.2 billion, or around $4.8 billion. According to a new rumor from the usual reliable Digital Chat Station over on Weibo, all four iPhone 17 models will sport 12GB of RAM, and the A19 Pro chip used for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be made on TSMC's 3nm process with significantly improved performance versus the A18 Pro. A previous rumor claimed three out of four members of the iPhone 17 family were set to get 12GB of RAM, with the vanilla model still up in the air until next month when Apple would be finalizing its decision regarding it. Samsung is making this Ferris wheel free for two weeks

Image
In what may be the weirdest promo in a few weeks at least, Samsung is now advertising its Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy AI by providing everyone with a free ride on The View Ferris wheel in Brussels, Belgium, on Place Poelaert. This normally costs €10 to ride, but from May 3 until May 18, it will be free as Samsung is apparently paying for everyone's tickets. As you can see from the image above, Samsung's Galaxy AI will feature prominently on the wheel itself. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 to launch early

Image
Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in October of last year, so you'd normally assume its successor, tentatively called Elite 2, would arrive this coming October. However, according to a rumor out of China, the next Elite will actually be announced in late September. Then, in October, we'll already see devices using it hitting the streets, at least in China. Previously, the Elite 2's AnTuTu benchmark score got leaked, suggesting some pretty healthy upgrades in performance compared to its predecessor, and then we heard that its GPU performance would be up by 30%, while... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/kgFBGm0

OnePlus Watch 3 goes back to a reasonable price in the US

Image
The OnePlus Watch 3's launch has been anything but smooth so far. Announced in February, it immediately went up for pre-order with a February 25 shipping date, but its release then got derailed by the "Meda in China" typo on the back. OnePlus took a few weeks to fix that error and then it started offering the watch in the US again earlier this month, but for the ridiculous new price of $499.99 (vs. $329.99 when it was announced). We assumed this was OnePlus hedging against US tariffs on Chinese goods.
